Engaging Jewish Young Adults

The Bay Area has an abundant landscape of organizations that engage and empower young adults. These groups both ensure a strong Jewish future and enhance daily life in our community. By supporting organizations that serve the almost 100,000 Jewish young adults living in the Bay Area, you’re helping this vital population find meaning, belonging, and connection in Jewish life. With loneliness exacerbated by the pandemic, rising antisemitism, and a deep desire for connection, this work has never been more important. A focus on young adult engagement and involvement is crucial for a vibrant Jewish present and future.

We highly recommend the organizations listed here which offer year-round programming locally and nationally and opportunities for visiting Israel or other travel. Most of the groups listed are national nonprofits with strong local programs. You can direct your giving to the local Bay Area branch of many of these organizations. Our professional philanthropic advisors have curated this guide which was also informed by the nonprofits our donor-advised funds support. We encourage you to consider supporting these organizations as part of your giving strategy.

If you are interested in opening a Federation donor-advised fund to facilitate your giving, start here.
