There is a wide spectrum of ways to observe Judaism. This nine-session course is for people who have decided to explore making Judaism a more significant factor in their homes and daily lives, and would like to do so from a modern, progressive and egalitarian perspective. The holiday cycle, lifecycle, creating a Jewish home, feeling comfortable in a synagogue and more will be examined as a source of personal and family enrichment.
The class includes both lectures and student participation. No prior knowledge of Judaism is necessary.
The series will use “Living a Jewish Life” by Anita Diamant as a study guide (copies are available at Dayenu at the SFJCC, at the Jewish Community Library, and at booksellers online).
Class is from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.
