Bay Area Talmud Circle

With Rabbi Peretz Wolf-Prusan

Join us in creating a community of adult students enabled and empowered to encounter the Talmud with confidence. Learn to describe the basic structure of the Talmud, identify key figures and centers, and locate the Talmudic literature in time and place. Through hevruta (partner) study and seminars with Lehrhaus faculty, students become familiar with Talmudic narratives and arguments and develop a deeper understanding of this pillar of Judaism.

About the Instructor: Rabbi Wolf-Prusan has been a Jewish educator in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1975. In 2002 he was awarded the Covenant Award as "An Exceptional Jewish Educator who has had a significant impact on others, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the transmission of Jewish knowledge, values, and identity." Currently, Rabbi Wolf-Prusan serves as the Rabbi and Senior Educator for Lehrhaus Judaica.
