Keynote Speaker — Evan Marwell, Founder and CEO, EducationSuperHighway
Evan Marwell is a serial entrepreneur, having started companies over the last 25 years in the telecom, software, hedge fund, and consumer retailing industries including INFONXX (now KGB) and Criterion Capital Management. Collectively, these businesses created thousands of jobs and generated billions of dollars of revenues and investment returns. Evan founded the non-profit EducationSuperHighway in 2012. In its first three years, the organization helped shape President Obama’s ConnectED initiative and served as a catalyst for modernization of the Federal Communications Commission’s $3.9 billion E-rate program, earning Evan the 2015 Visionary of the Year award from the San Francisco Chronicle. Evan is an honors graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School.

Business Leadership Award Honorees — Galina and Lev Leytes, Co-Founders, I-SAEF and LJL BioSystems, Inc.
Galina Leytes is co-founder and vice president of I-SAEF, a nonprofit that is funding alternative energy research in Israeli academia, such as converting CO2 into fuel using solar energy. She holds a graduate degree in Computer Science from Kiev Institute of Engineering, has completed Advanced Management College at Stanford University, and is a graduate of the Wexner Heritage Leadership Program. Ms. Leytes co-founded and acted as senior executive of a NASDAQ technology company and, prior to that, held senior technical and IT management positions at Charles Schwab, Stanford University, and a variety of high-tech companies. She successfully structured R&D funding of advanced technology development in academia, and licensing it for commercialization. Ms. Leytes has served as a board member on various private and public companies, and as a director in the nonprofit sector. In 2009, she was featured in Chinese Entrepreneur magazine as a leading Silicon Valley technology entrepreneur. She’s a recipient of the prestigious Volunteer of the Year Award from the Federation and lives in Palo Alto, California.

Lev Leytes is an entrepreneur, technologist, advisor, investor and philanthropist focused on clean technologies and life sciences. He is co-founder, board member and president of I-SAEF, a nonprofit that is funding alternative energy research in Israel, such as converting CO2 into fuel using solar energy. Mr. Leytes is also Chairman of Generation Capital, LLC, a private investment and advisory firm. As a founder, CEO and board member of both public and private technology companies over the past 20+ years, he has hands-on experience with planning and executing the entire life-cycle of growth strategy, operations and investments from early-stage development through manufacturing. His knowledge extends to global product shipping and emerging company financing, which includes: seed, venture capital, IPO and M&A. Mr. Leytes holds a graduate degree in engineering from Moscow Engineering Institute and graduated from the Advanced Management College at Stanford University. A licensed professional engineer, he has published numerous entrepreneurship and technology-related papers in peer-reviewed journals, and has multiple issued patents. He has been a sought after speaker, guest lecturer and panelist at investment, entrepreneurial, technology and philanthropic forums, and has been called on as a consultant with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In 2009, Mr. Leytes was featured in Chinese Entrepreneur magazine, highlighting him as a leading Silicon Valley technology entrepreneur. He lives in Palo Alto, California.
