The Federation’s SF Jewish Women’s Fund announces the release of our recent study* on the needs of Jewish single mothers in the Bay Area. Join us for this first-of-its-kind community webinar presenting study findings.

Did you know...

• National studies and local experts agree that single mothers are among the fastest growing vulnerable populations in the Bay Area.

• This population is increasing in number due to rising divorce rates and more women choosing to build a family on their own.

• Many indicators suggest that single Jewish mothers are often hidden from view within the Jewish community.

• Families headed by single mothers often face greater financial challenges than two-parent families and single father families.

During this webinar, we'll be discussing the many challenges facing Bay Area single Jewish mothers, as well as programming and funding that could be effective in addressing their unmet needs. Learn what community members, funders, and institutions can do to support this growing population.

Who should attend: single moms, heads of Jewish agencies, direct service providers, synagogue professionals and clergy, and all interested community members.

Following the webinar, the study will be released online.

*The study was commissioned by the SF Jewish Women’s Fund, a new giving circle of the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund.
