Drop-In Art-Making

Sep 7, 14, 21, 28, 1-3pm

Every Sunday and select school holidays from 1-3pm, families can experience a new adventure in art-making free with admission to The Contemporary Jewish Museum. As always, the hands-on fun inspires children to learn more about the exhibitions on display in the galleries, the building's architecture, or holidays and traditions while experimenting with materials and art techniques.

Sunday, September 7, 2014: Young Architects Workshop
Inspired by the midcentury modern architecture in the exhibition Designing Home: Jews and Midcentury Modernism, create your own unique architectural model using a variety of art materials.

Presented in conjunction with the city-wide festival, Architecture in the City.

Sundays, September 14, 21 & 28, 2014: New Year Wish Magnets
What will you wish for in the coming year? In honor of Rosh Hashanah, create a one-of-a-kind art magnet for your home that reflects your wishes and hopes. Make your design midcentury modern by adding retro papers and fabrics!

FREE with regular admission as follows: Members and youth 18 and under, Free; General Admission, $12; Students with a valid ID and Seniors, $10.
