Project "West of Eden"

Join the San Francisco-based Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund for a private reception with Inna Razumova, artist, art teacher at the City College of San Francisco, and creator of Project “West of Eden.”

Project “West of Eden” explores the visual implications of paradise throught the branches of its archetype, the Tree of Life. It's an ambiguous journey past Eden, a garden of delights as much the house of the dead, with trees and birds, but without people. It's an elegy. Ms. Razumova, having grown up as a secular Jew in Russia, realized with the passing of her mother, that the contemplation of death and afterlife is what connects her, more than anything, to Judaism.

The reception will be followed by an opportunity to view the pieces and speak with the artist. RSVP is required in order to partake in this event.

Refreshments and light appetizers will be served.
