This fund honors the life and legacy of Arthur J. Weil z”l, and carries forward the values he lived by: gratitude, tzedakah (taking care of people in need), and a deep sense of responsibility to others.
Arthur never forgot what his community did for him. “For five years during my youth the Jewish community provided for me,” he wrote, “so it is natural for me to give back.” Next year, a gift from his estate will establish the Weil Family Independent Living Fund, an endowment that will help Jewish seniors living independently to do so with security, health, and dignity. Until the endowment is created, this memorial fund will collect gifts made in Arthur’s memory, which will be transferred to the endowment once it is in place.
Thank you for joining Arthur in ensuring that the community that cared for him, and so many others like him, can continue to do so for generations to come.
