Empowering Communities to Combat Antisemitism
Since October 7, 2023, antisemitism has surged across the country—especially in the Bay Area—impacting schools, public spaces, social media, businesses, and government institutions. In response to incidents across more than 50 municipalities and 2,000 schools in the region, something amazing has happened – local volunteers have stepped up to fill the void. More than 12,000 volunteers – including academics, tech professionals, students, parents and concerned citizens – have mobilized into grassroots networks across the Bay, taking action to combat antisemitism in their communities. These extraordinary and committed individuals are leading local efforts to protect and uplift the Jewish community, working tirelessly to ensure that our schools and cities remain safe, inclusive, and welcoming for all.
BACCA’s mission is to safeguard the well-being of the Jewish community by empowering, coordinating, and amplifying the efforts of local grassroots groups to effectively counter antisemitism.
The grassroots are on the front lines of combating antisemitism in our schools and cities, and they need our support today. Together, we can make a real impact in fighting hate and safeguarding the well-being of our Jewish community.
