Jewish Circle Theatre

Scope & Deliverables

The Jewish Circle Theatre (JCT) is a vibrant nonprofit community theatre company producing highly-regarded Jewish-themed live performances throughout the Bay Area. To adapt to changing consumer preferences, JCT seeks to develop a business model that will help the organization become more self-sustaining. JCT seeks a team of consultants to advise it on the business model development.

The business model would provide a roadmap for reaching new audiences by identifying and testing innovative “artistic offerings and vehicles” and other cutting-edge strategies and products for increasing earned-income.

Ideally, the  business model would draw up lean startup principles (e.g. for customer development and acquisition; testing new offerings and vehicles) as well as guidance on high-level marketing strategy. A full scale marketing plan is NOT part of this engagement.

If desired, the consultant may chose to serve as on-going advisors to JCT as it tests and operationalizes its new theatrical offerings and strategies.

Project Results

The engagement will result in a business model that the JCT staff, Board, and members can use to execute on the organization’s goals. It will enable JCT to grow and be financially sustainable in the highly-competitive world of entertainment.
