Helen Diller Jewish Educator Awards

Helen Diller cared deeply about the future of the Jewish community and understood the key role that exceptional educators play in assuring the next generations are proud, knowledgeable, and connected.

With this in mind, the Federation and the Helen Diller Family Foundation partnered to recognize outstanding Jewish educators, ensuring that these dedicated professionals know that their community appreciates their commitment and continued striving for excellence. Together, they created an awards program that puts a spotlight on Jewish educators and elevates their important role in the community.

Helen Diller Prize for Lifetime Distinguished Achievement

Opening for nominations for the first time in 2020, the Helen Diller Prize for Lifetime Distinguished Achievement will be awarded to Bay Area professionals who can demonstrate extraordinary service as a Jewish educational professional and show a substantial contribution to the improvement and enhancement of Jewish education. The Helen Diller Prize is intended to honor the highest level of achievement and is not an annual award; it is only given when the criteria have been met.

Upon identifying the need to honor and spotlight educators and educational administrators who have dedicated their careers to making a lasting impact on the field of Jewish education, the Diller Education Awards Selection Committee created the Helen Diller Prize in partnership with the Federation and the Helen Diller Family Foundation.
