Leadership 365

Step In and Start Leading

Leadership 365 is a cohort-based leadership development program for young adults, ages 21-40 in the Bay Area. The program fosters young, passionate, emerging leaders to step into volunteer roles across our community.

Over the course of 6 months, participants advance their leadership skills, deepen their knowledge of the Bay Area Jewish community, build relationships with their peers, and put their learning into action. The program concludes with a capstone experience where participants pursue independent, personally meaningful projects with support from Federation staff.

Individual sessions focus on:

  • Growing public speaking and storytelling abilities
  • Learning the ins and outs of grantmaking
  • Exploring issues that motivate you, and how that connects to Jewish leadership
  • Meeting with accomplished community leaders to hear about their leadership journeys
  • Site visits to various Federation community partners, like Urban Adamah, to experience how non-traditional approaches are attracting more people to participate in Jewish life

Who is eligible?

Leadership 365 is open to all young Jewish adults in the Bay Area. Participants are passionate about building Jewish community and are excited about making an impact as a volunteer leader. No past board experience, affiliation with the Federation, or threshold of Jewish experience is necessary.

We take pride in the fact that Leadership 365 reflects the diversity of our community, and includes people from varying professional backgrounds, political orientations, career stages, aspirations for Jewish leadership, and affiliations in the community.
