We are pleased to announce the 38th Annual Sonoma State University Holocaust and Genocide Lecture Series, “Overcoming Adversity” on Tuesdays, January 26th to May 11th, 2021 from 5-6:50 p.m. via Zoom.

 

Please join us on Tuesday, March 9th when Sonoma State University History Professor Kathleen Noonan will be speaking on “’The Irish Need to Know Their Place:’ Famine, Ireland, and the Politics of Food.”

Professor Kathleen Noonan
In addition to her work as an historian, Professor Noonan has extensive experience as an archivist and manuscript curator at Georgetown University and the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her scholarly and research interests include Irish history.
