The Federation’s annual 473K Belonging Experience — named for the number of people in Bay Area Jewish households — has evolved into a year-long, free, virtual workshop series on topics that matter most to organizational leaders and require new approaches to embrace everyone in our diverse communities.

473K is intended for:

  • Professional and lay leadership of Jewish organizations
  • Clergy
  • Development professionals
  • Board members
  • Jewish entrepreneurs/start-ups
  • People leading Jewish engagement and/or DEIB work in the Jewish world

The second workshop focuses on hope for fractured communities. Whether our divisions stem from politics, outlooks on Israel, generational gaps, cultural, racial or economic divides, it is possible to find shared purpose and humanity, and strengthen our sense of community. Learn how empathy and trust can be cultivated even across the deepest divides through intentional practices that build belonging.
