The Federation’s 473K Conference — named for the number of people in Bay Area Jewish households — has evolved into a year-long, free, virtual workshop series and sessions focused on redesigning the most pressing aspects of Jewish organizational life to fully embrace everyone in our diverse population.

473K is intended for:

  • Professional and lay leadership of Jewish organizations
  • Clergy
  • Development professionals
  • Board members
  • Jewish entrepreneurs/start-ups
  • People leading Jewish engagement and/or DEIB work in the Jewish world

The fourth workshop focuses on how when people experience belonging within a group, they feel a strong sense of commitment and shared responsibility. What would giving look like if we treated donors like “partners” instead of “customers” and how do we bring a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) lens to our fundraising culture? We’ll explore who’s done it well and present new ideas to implement in your own organizations.

Workshop Design Team:

Dr. Analucia Lopezrevoredo, Jewtina
Lindsey Newman, Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund + Be’chol Lashon
Simcha Schwartz, Wilderness Torah
Wendy Verba, Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund
Rabbi Bridget Wynne, Jewish Gateways

Register for additional upcoming Workshops (9:30-11:00 am PT)

We are also offering three Kickstart Sessions - identical one-hour introductions to the power of belonging as a framework to transform organizations and communities.
