473K: A Belonging Workshop Series — Beyond Welcoming: Engagement Through Belonging
SHARE:
The Federation’s annual 473K Belonging Experience — named for the number of people in Bay Area Jewish households — has evolved into a year-long, free, virtual workshop series on topics that matter most to organizational leaders and require new approaches to embrace everyone in our diverse communities.
473K is intended for:
- Professional and lay leadership of Jewish organizations
- Clergy
- Development professionals
- Board members
- Jewish entrepreneurs/start-ups
- People leading Jewish engagement and/or DEIB work in the Jewish world
The fifth workshop of the series focuses on engagement through belonging. Unpack the differences between welcoming, inclusion, and belonging to illuminate how sometimes even the best of intentions can unintentionally exclude. What does it mean to open our organizations to real belonging and ownership?
