60+ Bagel & Dairy Nosh Get-Together

Get together with us on a beautiful June morning to socialize, enjoy live piano music and nosh on bagels and dairy offerings to celebrate Shavuot.

Hey 60+ folks, enjoy a fun opportunity to gather with us at the JCCSF. Alan Thomas, piano player extraordinaire, will delight with a range of favorite tunes. And since Shavuot commemorates the spring harvest, and the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai, Rabbi Batshir Torchio will offer a powerful teaching about the holiday. Enjoy a sampling of tasty dairy morsels available to nibble on in celebration of Shavuot.

Advance registration by Tuesday, 5/31 is required. Free.  

We will not be able to accept walk-ins on the day of the event.  

Stay with us afterwards to view a classic matinee movie, The Children’s Hour.

Alan Thomas
 He specializes in self-taught popular American standard renditions and has been the pianist with three dance bands from his time as a music major at City College of San Francisco to the present. Alan excels in playing by ear, accompanying vocalists and instrumentalists and improvising. He was the featured Nordstrom pianist at the Corte Madera store for eight years. Alan regularly plays at wedding receptions, fashion shows, corporate and business events, social and fraternal organizations and house parties. He enjoys assembling bands ranging from duos to up to six musicians utilizing a variety of instrumentation as well as providing vocalists. Alan plays all styles and is a guaranteed crowd pleaser no matter how diverse the gathering.
