Northern California Board of Rabbis Retreat
The Northern California Board of Rabbis will be holding its annual membership retreat at a location in San Francisco still to be determined. A little about us, we consist of 300+ rabbinical representative members residing north of San Luis Obispo, through the Santa Cruz mountains, into the greater San Francisco Bay Area, out into the Reno/Lake Tahoe area and up the coast to the Oregon border.
Together we serve the organized Jewish community in all its facets and all its celebration of life and worship. Our members are affiliated with the Reform, Renewal, Reconstructionist, Secular Humanist, Transdenominational, Conservative, and Orthodox Jewish movements. Our members serve the community as individuals independently working with families during life cycle moments as well as a staff leaders at various temples, congregations, synagogues, hospices, universities, state correctional institutions, and hospitals in Northern California. We are counselors, chaplains, educators, authors, parenting coaches, therapists, program mangers and organizational leaders of various secular and non-secular agencies and institutions.
At this meeting, we will vote on our internal leadership positions. Our current all-volunteer body of leaders making up this Executive Committee include: Rabbi Ruth Adar, Member-at-Large; Rabbi Serena Eisenberg, President; Rabbi Allie Fischman, Chair of Non-Congregational Members; Rabbi Marvin Goodman, Secretary; Rabbi Corey Helfand, Member-at-Large; Rabbi Margie Jacobs, Member-at-Large (Communications); Rabbi Lisa Kingston, Co-Vice President – The Peninsula; Rabbi Stephanie Kramer, Vice President – Wine Country & North Bay; Rabbi Harry Manhoff, Chair of Retired Members; Rabbi Lara Regev, Member-at-Large; Rabbi Yoni Regev, Treasure; Rabbi Jason Rodich, Vice President – San Francisco; Rabbi PJ Schwartz, Vice President – South Bay & Silicon Valley; Rabbi Heath Watenmaker, Co-Vice President – The Peninsula; and Rabbi Eric Weiss, Chair of Chaplain Members.
