Book talk with author Michael David Lukas. Join us on Sunday, February 9th, 3pm - 5pm

Congregation Shir Shalom will have the pleasure of hosting Michael David Lukas, 2018 National Jewish Book Award recipient for his novel The Last Watchman of Old Cairo. This award is administered by the Jewish Book Council for outstanding literature that focuses on themes of Jewish interest.  His first novel, The Oracle of Stamboul was a finalist for the 2011 California Book Award. Michael David Lukas is an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at San Francisco State University.

A reception for the author in the Community Room from 5pm - 6pm, will follow the talk.
