FED Talk Series — On the Ground in Ukraine

An exclusive luncheon and presentation of life in Ukraine today.

Over one year into the war, Jewish humanitarian efforts in Ukraine remain in full throttle. The Federation’s global partner, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), our largest grantee, is on the ground, serving as a lifeline to the 200,000 Jews living in Ukraine, including 40,000 poor, Jewish elderly and families.

Join Inna Vdovichenko, JDC’s representative in Odessa, for an exclusive luncheon and presentation of life in Ukraine today, where she says, “life happens between sirens.” Inna has played a critical role in coordinating the distribution of hundreds of tons of humanitarian aid and life-saving supplies for JDC clients throughout the entire region. With concerning shortages of medications, food, water, and sanitary supplies, Inna and the JDC Odessa team ensure that these crucial supplies reach Jews sheltering throughout the country.

Inna Vdovichenko
Inna Vdovichenko has spent most of her career working on behalf of the Jewish community of Odesa. As head of JDC’s Public Relations and Missions department, Inna is responsible for planning the trips that create a personal bond between donors around the world and the Jewish children, families, and elderly who so desperately rely on their assistance.

Inna joined JDC’s office in Odesa in 1999. For over 20 years, she has been deeply involved in creating hands-on experiences that enable visitors from abroad to learn about the local Jewish community and build meaningful relationships with the professionals, lay leaders, and recipients of welfare and Jewish renewal programs. Inna also leads fundraising and PR seminars for professionals working for Jewish organizations in the region.
