High Holy Days

Whatever brings you to us, whatever you are hoping to experience, it is our honor to provide an environment where you and so many others can be together during this most important time in the Jewish year.

Please join us this year for High Holy Days!

All High Holy Day events will take place at Congregation Shomrei Torah.

In addition to the regular 8 PM Kol Nidre service, there will be a special 6 PM alternative service, featuring a more contemporary liturgy, more music, and an alternative siddur, or prayer book, specially created for Reform congregations interested in a service that more directly ties ancient tradition to current sensibilities.

High Holy Day services will be led by Rabbi George Gittleman, Rabbi Stephanie Kramer, Cantorial Soloist Erica Wisner and Cantorial Soloist Malcolm McElheney, with special musical accompaniment by the Congregational Choir.

Congregation Shomrei Torah welcomes the entire Jewish community to join in our observance of the Days of Awe. You need not be a member to participate, although you will need to obtain a seating card in advance. No one can be admitted to High Holy Day services without a seating card. To reserve your seating card, call the synagogue office at (707)578-5519 or Download the informational packet HERE.

Please note that special security procedures are in effect for all High Holy Days services. All handbags and backpacks are subject to inspection.
