This year, deepen your High Holy day experience in the community while strengthening your immune system, reducing stress, and awakening inner freedom!

Join Reb Brian Yosef for learning, singing, and meditation on ten essential prayer chants from our musical High Holiday services through the lens of Kabbalah. All are welcome and especially good for anyone wanting a deeper connection to the Days of Awe this year. Each workshop will explore a core High Holiday chant for both personal and global transformation. 

Just as the seven weeks between Passover and Shavuot correspond to the seven lower Sefirot (spiritual qualities) of the Tree of Life, so too, the seven weeks beginning with Tisha b’Av and leading up to Rosh Hashanah are also portals into these transformational energies. This series of ten workshops (which begins three weeks before Tisha b’Av) will explore all ten sefirot experientially through ten core High Holiday chants.

This program will also prepare you and ramp-up to this year’s special High Holy Day celebrations with Urban Adamah and Torah of Awakening!

Reb Brian Yosef Schachter-Brooks
Reb Brian Yosef Schachter-Brooks has been teaching on the practice of Presence (meditation, mindfulness) and Judaism since 2006, and founded the online Jewish meditation community, Torah of Awakening, in 2016. He is the author of Kabbalah for Beginners, published by Callisto Media, and Integral Jewish Meditation: Three Portals of Presence for Spiritual Awakening. Reb Brian Yosef received s’miha (ordination) as Minister of Sacred Music from Reb Zalman z”l (2012), Spiritual Teacher and Awakener of Souls from Shaykh Ibrahim Baba Farajaje (may his secret be sanctified) and Rabbi SaraLeya Schley (2012), Jewish Meditation Teacher certification from Dr. Avram Davis (2004), and holds a Bachelor of Music from the Eastman School of Music (1991).
