Interactive Farm Tour & Volunteer Work Party
Interactive Farm Tour, 1:00 – 2:00 pm
Urban farms are full of life and magic: fish poop feeding plants, bees powering plant pollination, food scraps decomposing into rich compost, goats, chickens, and more! And all working together to grow over 100 different types of fruits and vegetables.
How does it all work? Discover our urban farming secrets through an interactive farm tour at Urban Adamah’s new 2-acre campus in Northwest Berkeley. Farm tours are open to all. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Then stick around for a volunteer work party!
Volunteer Work Party, 2:00 – 5:00 pm
Work parties are open to small groups and individuals ages 12 and up. Children ages 12-18 must be accompanied by an adult. Work may include any number of farm activities such as weeding, planting, harvesting, shaping beds, mulching, watering, or animal care. We’ll break for a veggie potluck snack at 3:30 pm, feel free to bring a treat to share!
If you would like to bring a group of more than 7 people to the volunteer work party, please email our Farm Manager, Debbie Harris at debbie@urbanadamah.org to make sure we can accommodate your group.
