Israel at 71: Do We Still Share a Destiny?

Israeli society is undergoing significant developments, including a move towards an ethno-national Jewish identity, which is strongly at odds with the identity of American Jews. At the same time, a growing number of American Jews are alienated from Israel and do not have a compelling narrative of what it means to be part of the Jewish people.

What will be the impact of these trends on Jewish Peoplehood? What responses will help bring these two communities closer to each other?

Join us for a enlightening conversation between Dr. Tomer Persico and Dr. Shlomi Ravid, moderated by Rabbi Lavey Derby, PJCC Director of Jewish Life.
