Jewish Birth Prep Workshop

Our next Jewish Birth Prep Workshop will be on Sunday, May 19, 2019. We are excited to be partnering again with Honeymoon Israel!

The class will be 3 PM – 5:45 PM at Congregation Beth Jacob in Redwood City. Beth Jacob is hosting the class, but you do not need to be a member of Beth Jacob or any Jewish organization to attend.

Over the course of the class, new and expectant parents will have an opportunity to learn and ask questions about rituals during labor and delivery, choosing a Hebrew name, bris, naming and welcoming ceremonies, Jewish perspectives on parenting and more.

We will also be joined by baby development specialist Ayelet Marinovich from Strength In Words to share fun and easy ways to play with your baby at every stage of development.

The price is $36 per couple or $18 per individual which includes kosher vegetarian snacks and desserts and all materials.

This class will be facilitated by Program Director Carol Booth and taught by our local Peninsula rabbis. Become informed and make friends. Register now!

It is our intention to educate parents about the traditions, rituals and resources, and it is up to each parent to decide how much or little to incorporate into their family’s life. The Jewish Baby Network welcomes everyone, including single parent, LGBTQ, interfaith, and unaffiliated families.
