Jewish Public Affairs Committee of California (JPAC) Advocacy Day

You can help continue to grow our impact by joining us at this year’s JPAC Advocacy Day.

Take advantage of our early-bird registration rates through the end of March.

Fifty years ago, the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund co-founded the Jewish Public Affairs Committee of California (JPAC) to advocate towards our state government on behalf of the Jewish community’s issues and broadly shared values. Now the largest single-state coalition of Jewish organizations in the nation, JPAC uses our community’s collective reach and strength to help build the world we want to live in – for ourselves and for all vulnerable people across California.

In recent years, JPAC’s influence has been realized in unprecedented ways. Since 2019, we have successfully advocated for over a hundred million dollars from the state budget for a wide range of community projects, including enhancing community security initiatives, rebuilding Jewish summer camps destroyed in wildfires, expanding our Holocaust education institutions, and securing vital resources for seniors, immigrants, and people experiencing food insecurity.

We helped pass crucial legislation to create and expand mental health, anti-poverty, and hate crime initiatives. And we led the advocacy efforts to remove antisemitic content from the state’s ethnic studies curriculum.

You can help continue to grow our impact by joining us at this year’s JPAC Advocacy Day.

JPAC Advocacy Day is our premier annual event, set to take place in Sacramento on May 9-10, 2022. During this two-day gathering, participants will hear from and have access to exclusive networking opportunities with some of the state's most powerful lawmakers and activists, and practice and participate in direct lobbying.

We will be advocating on issues relating to:

· Hate crimes and community security initiatives

· Jewish values: advancing social services and civil rights to uplift vulnerable Californians

· Bolstering California's Jewish community organizations

When you plug into JPAC’s work, you demonstrate to state lawmakers the power of our community and the importance of our initiatives. You join a community of likeminded Jewish activists looking to learn, connect, and make an impact. You turn values into results.
