“Where will your children find their Heroes?”

Perhaps you have asked yourself, “Do I want my children to learn something about the classic Bible stories… to recognize and be  comfortable with the Hebrew alphabet… to learn a little bit more about the holidays?” And most importantly… do you want your child(ren) to see Jewish life as something fun & exciting?

If you do, then bring your children and yourselves to B'nai Israel's new and exciting program; where we will teach our kids our traditions via stories, games and activities. The whole family is invited… parents you can stay and be part of it and also bring siblings. Why? Because it’s not just a program for the children to “do Jewish” but to be a part of their own Jewish family.

Our program meets on Saturday mornings. Why? Because this is our holy day and there are Jewish traditions that happen in the synagogue that we want our kids to see and to be part of. Such as learning a few prayers for the opening of the ark and for the parading of the Torah... We want them to feel comfortable in the sanctuary and to know that they are part of something bigger… something that’s happening all the time all around us.

Of course, we will have celebrations for the holidays, as well as, family fun activities both inside and outside of the synagogue. The educational piece is only one part, though. Why? It's really about belonging! And, because it takes all of us to build community!

We are creating opportunities for our kids and for ourselves to get to know each other and have fun together, so we can make and deepen lasting friendships!!
