Summer Nigh Dream – Shavout with the Kitchen, Beth Sholom & The JCCSF

Join us for an evening of torah exploration, song, schmooze and light nosh.
The holiday of Shavuot marks the moment Torah, a sacred scroll of divine teachings, was received by the Jewish people on Mount Sinai. Today we honor the Shavuot traditions of gathering in community to celebrate learning and discussion as a way to discover together and seek new truths. The customs associated with the holiday include a tikkun leyl Shavuot (Jewish mystical tradition of staying up all night studying Torah), eating dairy products and a public reading of the Biblical Book of Ruth.
Join us as we partner with Congregation Beth Sholom and The Kitchen for an evening of learning and traditional enjoyment of cheesecake.
