Tim Buckley, Folk-Rock Legend of the 60s & 70s

Folk-rock author and historian Richie Unterberger presents the incredible voice of Tim Buckley in vintage film clips of classics like “Morning Glory.”

One of the finest singers and song writers of the late 1960s and early 1970s, Tim Buckley’s astonishing multi-octave voice graced numerous adventurous styles in his brief lifetime. This event follows his growth from folk singer through jazz-rock and experimental rock with clips spanning 1967 to 1974. Footage includes the 1980s cover of “Song of the Siren” by This Mortal Coil that helped bring Tim’s music to a future generation as well as some clips of Tim’s son, Jeff Buckley.  The program will be presented with discussion and commentary by Richie Unterberger.
