Dinner and Show Benefiting the Jewish Community Free Clinic

WORKS OF HEART 2020 is the 4th annual art show and dinner benefiting the Jewish Community Free Clinic’s (JCFC) mission of providing completely free health care and social services to the uninsured, while at the same time supporting artists in our mutual pursuit of bettering the wellbeing of the community. This year’s event theme is "Reflecting Democracy, Openness, and Inclusivity," highlighting our belief that as safety net providers to vulnerable patients we must be strong advocates of these values in our community.

Art and health are integrally related, each promoting the other. The nationwide juried art show with juror Lori Austin of Lori Austin Gallery is co-sponsored by Gallery 300 owned by Jennifer Hirshfield in Sebastopol and will feature pieces from talented and innovative artists who are all lending their creative voices to our cause. Valuing artists and their professional work, 50% of art proceeds will go to the talented artists showing at the event.

Grossman’s Noshery & Bar from James Beard finalists Mark and Terri Stark and Stark Reality Restaurants will sponsor the meal. Chef Mark Stark and his team have created a menu of delicious appetizers and a family style dinner featuring cuisine from their soon-to-be opened restaurant, bakery and bar at the Hotel La Rose in Santa Rosa’s Railroad Square. Works of Heart 2020 is an exclusive opportunity to delight in this special meal while supporting artists and the free clinic mission all at once.

This year’s event will be held on April 5th at the Barlow Event Center in Sebastopol and doors will open at 4:00 PM, followed by a fundraising dinner and program beginning at 5:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased here.  The JCFC offers thousands of free visits to uninsured and low-income adults and children each year, including free vaccines, medications, labs, women’s health, acupuncture and mental health services. Works of Heart is a vital annual fundraiser for the JCFC and helps keep clinic doors open throughout the year.

Artists are asked to submit their pieces by email to gabriela.jcfc@gmail.com. Co-branding opportunities are being offered to art galleries and businesses to help promote the event.  For more information please contact director@jewishfreeclinic.org.
