DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a special afternoon featuring a fireside chat with United States District Judge Roy K. Altman as he discusses his new bestseller\, Israel on Trial: Examining the History\, the Evidence\, and the Law.  \nIn his book\, Judge Altman brings both judicial rigor and deep personal conviction to confront the claims that Israel is guilty of colonialism\, apartheid\, and genocide.* This is a rare chance to hear him unpack the ideas behind his book in a private setting\, with plenty of room for real dialogue.  \nThe afternoon begins with light bites and beverages\, followed by a fireside chat with Judge Altman. Guests are invited to stay afterward to connect and continue the conversation.  \nWe look forward to welcoming you to what promises to be a thoughtful\, memorable afternoon.   \nAddress will be shared upon registration.  \nThis event is invite-only.\n \n\n\n\n\nAbout Judge Roy K. Altman  \nAfter being confirmed to a seat on the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida in 2019\, Judge Roy K. Altman\, at 36\, became the youngest federal district court judge in the country — and the youngest federal judge ever appointed in the Southern District of Florida. He received his BA from Columbia University and his JD from Yale Law School\, where he was projects editor of the Yale Law Journal. After law school\, Altman clerked on the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals for the Honorable Stanley Marcus.  \nAltman was then appointed as a federal prosecutor at the US Attorney’s Office in Miami\, where he twice received the Director of the Executive Office of US Attorneys’ Award for Superior Performance by a federal prosecutor. In 2013\, Altman was named “Federal Prosecutor of the Year” by the Miami-Dade Chiefs of Police and the Law Enforcement Officers’ Charitable Foundation.  \nIn 2014\, Altman was named a partner at the Miami law firm Podhurst Orseck\, where he represented the victims of airplane crashes and bank fraud conspiracies.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Israel on Trial: Examining the History\, the Evidence\, and the Law \nIn Israel on Trial: Examining the History\, the Evidence\, and the Law\, United States District Judge Roy K.
