Philanthropic Services Associate

Reports to Director of Planned Giving & Endowments, and Manager of Venture Philanthropy & Giving Circles

The Philanthropic Services Associate serves on a team responsible for providing administrative, fundraising, and programmatic support to the Director of Gift Planning, and to the Manager of Venture Philanthropy & Giving Circles.


Professional Advisor Network

  • Agency and Restricted Funds
  • Support Client Services functions across restricted endowment funds. Among other responsibilities, this position will support the Cowan Award committee and event, as well as the Legacy Giving Community of Practice
  • Assist when needed with restricted and agency fund quarterly reporting
  • Other support of planned giving and endowments functions as assigned

Women's Fund

  • Coordination of board meetings including creating and prepping materials, calendaring, tracking RSVPs, and coordinating meals and other event details
  • Contribute to program and curriculum development including research, writing, planning, brainstorming with colleagues, and interfacing with nonprofit partners as needed
  • Coordinate communications with Women’s Fund members and Federation staff, including formatting and sending group emails
  • Manage Request for Proposal processes to the community
  • Maintain records including membership tracking, expenditures to budget, and database updates
  • Other responsibilities as needed


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-3 years of program development and coordination, or related experience


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively, based on the situation, in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility, including willingness to work with a variety of staff members, maintain flexible hours and travel between regions as needed
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office and Raiser’s Edge
  • Working knowledge of the Jewish community and tradition; passion for the Federation’s mission
