The Federation is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual with a variety of skill sets who wants to join a team working to build a new model of 21st century and next generation Federation engagement.

ROLE SUMMARY

The JTF Associate is a temporary Federation employee (up to 40 hours/month, plus a weekend-long retreat in October), responsible for supporting the JTF’s (Senior) Program Manager in executing an array of administrative duties. This includes: staffing JTF events, prepping materials, organizing logistics, salesforce data entry, supporting teens in fundraising and JTF-related work, and recruitment assistance.  The JTF Associate will participate in regular meetings with the (Senior) Program Manager to fully understand the work and goals of JTF and to be trained on their duties each month.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Staff Sunday Meetings and JTF weekend Retreat to assist with program logistics and supervision of teens.
  • Participate in regular meetings with (Senior) Program Manager.
  • Assist in meeting prep (logistics, supplies, speakers, materials, etc.).
  • Log all data into Salesforce.
  • Assist in synthesizing teen nonprofit research/interviews.
  • Assist in the coordination of professionals to be interviewed by JTF Board members.
  • Assist in the review process of up to 50 teens fundraising pages and letters.
  • Assist with recruitment logistics.
  • Assist with other special projects as needed delegated by (Senior) Program Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

  • Experience working with teens.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and meet objectives and performance standards.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances, needs, hours.
  • Proactive problem solver and self-starter.
  • Extremely organized and able to multi-task.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player, professionally with colleagues and in working with teens
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective communicator.
  • Proficient with technology.
  • All Federation employees working with teens will be required to pass a background check and will be fingerprinted.
  • Knowledge of nonprofits/philanthropy – preferred.
  • Valid California driver’s license – preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred..
