PJ Library: Free Books for Children

With ideas and activities for Jewish family life, the PJ Library offers age-appropriate books for children 0-12.Visiting the library offers an opportunity and inspiration for connection to the Jewish community.

Diller Teen Fellows: Global Connections and Leadership

The Diller Teen Fellows program is a yearlong leadership experience that empowers teens to explore their Jewish identities and develop into leaders committed to creating positive change.

Community Security: Keeping Jewish People and Places Safe

Our experts offer no-cost training, consultation, technical assistance, and awareness to Jewish organizations in Northern California. We lead Jewish security efforts in the Bay Area and beyond.

Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) Bay Area: Our Collective Voice

We support JCRC’s work mobilizing Bay Area Jews and our allies to counter antisemitism and rising hate, advance social justice, and strengthen civic engagement.

Caring for People in Need

We elevate the quality of life for those in need by investing in a robust network of Jewish human and social service agency partners in the Bay Area, Israel, and around the world. These organizations provide medical care, hunger relief, psychological support, and other critical services to individuals and families in need.

Shalom Bayit: Ending Domestic Violence in Jewish Homes

Shalom Bayit is the Bay Area’s center for domestic violence prevention and response within the Jewish community. We support their vital work building effective abuse prevention and intervention strategies.

Hebrew Free Loan: Life-Changing Loans for the Northern California Jewish Community

The Federation’s first impact loan opportunity was developed as a response to the economic fallout from COVID-19. Since 2020, our donors have mobilized over $8M for interest-free loans through Hebrew Free Loan, providing financial lifelines for businesses, students, and personal financial support.

Promoting Justice and Inclusion

Drawing from a deep Jewish tradition of social justice, we support organizations creating a more equitable society. We strengthen relationships and partner to build capacity and foster inclusion, particularly among marginalized groups.

Jewish Pride Fund (JPF): Our longest-running giving circle that supports the LGBTQIA+ community

Founded in 2018, JPF is committed to supporting the needs, values, and interests of the LGBTQIA+ and Jewish communities in the Bay Area, nationally, and in Israel. This giving circle is open to all members and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Social Finance Israel: Increasing Employment Opportunities for New Immigrants

Support provided through Federation impact loans helped launch Social Finance Israel’s unique Career Impact Bond. Working with the Developers’ Institute, new immigrants and members of the Ethiopian community train as programmers in a cost-free, nine month bootcamp. Attendees from these maginalized groups have the opportunity to learn economic independence and societal integration.

American Jewish Distribution Committee (JDC): Our Global Humanitarian Aid Partner

In times of crisis we swiftly mobilize essential aid through our on-the-ground partners like the American Jewish Distribution Committee (JDC). Serving as a global lifeline for those in distress, we provide vital resources like food and medicine, and offer long-term support such as trauma counseling.

This partnership kept Jews safe and strong, warm and fed, vibrant and resilient… it is a shared investment for a collective Jewish future.
