Board Member Position Description

In a few short years, BimBam (formerly G-dcast) has successfully grown from innovative startup to a nationally recognized, award-winning, second stage nonprofit organization. We are now looking for new Board members to help us further our exciting growth and impact. Our current Board consists of seven members, however our By-Laws allow for 15 members. We seek members who would assist with development, finance, legal (especially IP). And, equally importantly, people passionate about BimBam and willing to roll up their sleeves and BimBam thrive!

Board members typically serve for two terms of two years. Formal meetings are once a quarter for two hours. We have a series of great events to begin to cultivate future donors along with consultants who are teaching us how to make development fun and not intimidating.

There are plenty of other needs to keep you busy if you have time. More about our current board members at: http://www.g-dcast.com/board/

An expanded board will help us  achieve greater sustainability, stability and visibility.

Organization Description

BimBam, located in San Francisco, is a nonprofit new media company whose goal is to make Jewish literacy accessible to everyone interested in learning, and to create positive attitudes about Jewish values and behaviors.  Our products are both entertaining and credible, raising the bar for Jewish media online, and teaching the basics of Judaism in a joyful format. We combine rigorous pedagogical excellence with cutting-edge thinking about technology and media.

Required Skills/Experience

We are looking for a range of skills from finance, legal (especially IP), to board governance. Ideal board members are passionate about our mission and ready to roll up their sleeves and help G-dcast thrive.
