Magical Bridge Foundation

Scope & Deliverables

Magical Bridge Foundation, a brand new nonprofit organization, is the outgrowth to the overwhelming response to the creation of the Magical Bridge Playground in Palo Alto, CA. Celebrated as the nation’s most innovative-inclusive playground, its founders received worldwide requests to replicate it since its opening in April. The global reaction and ongoing enthusiasm created by Magical Bridge playground underscores the demand for socially inclusive spaces for the disabled.

As we launch this new nonprofit, the two founders seek advice from seasoned business and nonprofit professionals on designing and executing a successful business model, start-up strategy, and governance process.

Specifically, the pro bono consultant or team of consultants would advise us on any or all the following:

  • Turning our vision and mission statement into an actionable business model
  • Based on the business model, mapping out the start-up strategy and operational plan
  • Developing board/governance responsibilities and position descriptions
  • Identifying potential board candidates
  • If possible, reviewing current marketing and fundraising materials to align with business plan

Post engagement, if mutually desirable, consultants would continue to serve as advisors as we launch and scale the organization.

Project Results

This engagement will allow us to execute quickly and effectively on our urgent social mission and the outpouring of interest and demand for socially inclusive spaces. Currently, our staff of two is not able to go it alone.

Organization Description

Through innovative design, compassion and technology, Magical Bridge mobilizes the largest minority group, the disabled population, into one powerful voice. We envision a new kind of world.  One, where everyone’s abilities are acknowledged, celebrated and included.
