Be'chol Lashon

Background

Be’chol Lashon has a niche market as the sole creator and provider of content and programs on racial and ethnic diversity of the Jewish people. For more than ten years, we have been the only professional organization operating in this space serving  a range of customers including Jewish educators, travel enthusiasts and members of our increasingly diverse local Jewish community.  In addition, Be'chol Lashon, which began as a research institute, can draw substantial field research on national and global Jewish diversity.  We have also nurtured a network of global Jewish relationships.

Scope & Deliverables

We would like to partner with a business strategist to:

1. Explore our various and unique assets (e.g. educational resources, diversity trainings, travel programs, field research, and other intellectual capital) and identify one or two promising opportunities to generate earned income.
2. Develop business models to test the opportunities.
3. Advise on launching “lean pilots” (e.g. prototype, measure, learn, pivot).

Project Results

Like most non-profits around the world we know that donor resources are limited and we need to find creative ways to self-fund. Working with an experienced business strategist would allow us identify and test potential income streams to supplement our grant and donor-based fundraising efforts and lead to greater organizational stability and sustainability.

Organization Description
