Background

From an operations perspective, SF Hillel is part business, part facilities and operations management, and part program support. The Operations and Office Manager position is a challenging job that requires a high level of soft and hard skills.  Our recently hired Operations and Office Manager, who is new to this position, seeks coaching to succeed in this critically important role.

Scope and Deliverables

While the specifics of the coaching agreement will be determined and agreed upon by the pro bono consultant and the Operations and Office Manager, the basic parameters would likely include:

1. Agree upon and set goals for mentorship
2. Identify specific skills to work on
3. Set meeting/phone call schedule
4. Have regular check ins
5. Identify successes and areas for continued improvement

Project Results

Increasing the effectiveness of our operations will increase our efficiency and our ability to deliver more services to students more effectively. We have looked at private coaching companies, but they tend to charge upwards of $1,800 for a 6-month engagement, so the cost savings, and improvements to our employee's professional development, will be incredible.
