American Jewish World Service

Scope & Deliverables

American Jewish World Service (AJWS) staff are frequently required to speak publicly at a variety of forums and to different audiences. Speaking engagements range from a synagogue at a Friday night service where many congregants have never heard of AJWS, to a small parlor meeting with potential donors, to a fundraising event with existing donors. In order to raise the comfort level and effectiveness of each of our four staff members as public speakers, we seek training in:

  • the art of public speaking, and
  • best practices for making effective and engaging presentations.

Project Results

Staff will be better equipped to deliver the mission and work of AJWS in compelling ways, excite and engage people in AJWS’ work, and raise new and larger gifts.

Organization Description

AJWS, located in San Francisco (headquarters in New York), is the leading Jewish organization working to promote human rights and end poverty throughout the developing world.
