Scope & Deliverables

Since the Yom Rishon School is a new non-profit organization, we have yet to establish our own efficient accounting system. We would like help setting up and implementing QuickBooks as a way to manage our payments, donations and enrollment fees.

Work would include:

  • Setup new online QuickBooks account
  • Train staff how to use QuickBooks
  • Integrate existing accounting systems to sync automatically with QuickBooks
  • Document work flow and steps for ongoing maintenance of the new system

Project Results

After these systems are in place and we are trained to use QuickBooks, we will be better poised to manage and grow the school responsibly and prudently, and better serve our students.

Organization Description

Yom Rishon School, located in Sunnyvale, is the first family Jewish education institution for Russian speakers in the Bay Area. It became an independent organization in 2015 serving Russian-speaking families with children ages 2-15.  It started the 2015-2016 school year with more than 90 students. Previously, the school operated as a program of Congregation Beth Am.
