Scope & Deliverables

This year, we are launching a training institute to train others in our model, and we want to protect our program names before other groups found similar programs. We are seeking an attorney to walk us through the process of applying for trademarks.

Project Results

This project will allow us to ensure that our original program names are protected. This will help our participants to discern Wilderness Torah programs from other groups' similar initiatives.

Organization Description

Wilderness Torah, located in Berkeley, reconnects Jewish traditions to nature. Since 2007, we have served more than 6,000 participants with multi-generational holiday festivals; K-7 outdoor Jewish education; and custom programs for Jewish institutions. Named one of the nation's most innovative Jewish nonprofits four years running, Wilderness Torah's programs consistently sell out and have remarkable impact, especially in connecting young adults and the disengaged enthusiastically back to Judaism.

Wilderness Torah's mission is to awaken and celebrate the earth-based traditions of Judaism to nourish the connections between self, community, earth and Spirit.
