Erev Rosh Hashanah celebration

Join Camp Tawonga on Sunday, September 13th for an inspiring outdoor Annual Erev Rosh Hashanah Service in a new location this year – beautiful Joaquin Miller Park in Oakland. This program is such a meaningful way to connect and embark on the new year together. Led by past director Deborah Newbrun, Torah scholar Sue Reinhold, and talented song leaders Isaac Zones and Maya Abramson, you don't want to miss it – and we encourage you to bring a friend too!

Designed to be interactive, the service will provide opportunities for families to participate together as well as for children to join separate kid-friendly activities while parents continue to explore the themes of the Jewish New Year. We will also hear shofar blasts from special Tawonga shofars made by Session IV campers with Rabbi Nosson Potash.
