This award honors women who shape our community through sustained volunteer leadership, philanthropy, and values-driven engagement. A committee of past awardees and community leaders selects the recipient, who directs a $2,500 grant to the nonprofit of her choice.

What the committee looks for

  • A longstanding, meaningful history with the Jewish Federation Bay Area
  • Sustained volunteer leadership in the Bay Area Jewish community
  • Leadership that reaches the national Jewish community
  • Sustained, generous tzedakah that moves others to give
  • Mentorship that draws others, especially women, into Jewish communal life
  • Positive change in the broader civic community that reflects Jewish values

Before you begin

Please answer each narrative question in no more than 200 words. Include specific roles, organizations, years, and outcomes whenever possible.

You may upload testimonials and letters from friends of the nominee, people she has mentored, fellow board members, or professionals who have worked with her. Each writer should include their name, role, and relationship to the nominee.

Nominations are confidential. Please do not disclose your nomination to the nominee.
