Attorney | Investor | Fundraiser

Jennifer Mathews Friedman is an attorney, a youth advocate and an investor in real estate and in the hospitality industry. She has worked in federal and state courts, in private practice, and as an adjunct professor at Mills College. She has volunteered in a wide range of political work, encouraging more women to run for public office, supporting candidates for public office nationwide and engaging in efforts to protect voting rights. Jen has extensive Board experience as a former Board Member and Board Chair of First Place for Youth, and as a Board Member and Board Secretary of Head Royce School. She has deep experience in development, serving as Chair and Co-Chair of multiple significant capital campaigns, and in nonprofit governance. A graduate of UC Berkeley (Phi Beta Kappa) and UC Berkeley School of Law (Articles Editor, California Law Review), Jen lives in the East Bay with her husband, Abe, and is the mother of three great young adults.
