This award honors women who shape our community through sustained volunteer leadership, philanthropy, and values-driven engagement. A committee of past awardees and community leaders selects the recipient, who directs a $2,500 grant to the nonprofit of her choice.
What the committee looks for
- A longstanding, meaningful history with the Jewish Federation Bay Area
- Sustained volunteer leadership in the Bay Area Jewish community
- Leadership that reaches the national Jewish community
- Sustained, generous tzedakah (taking care of people in need) that moves others to give
- Mentorship that draws others, especially women, into Jewish communal life
- Positive change in the broader civic community that reflects Jewish values
