Rob Kapito, President and Director, BlackRock
Mr. Kapito is a member of BlackRock’s Global Executive Committee and Chairman of the Global Operating Committee. He is responsible for day-to-day oversight of all BlackRock’s key operating units including Investment Strategies, Client Businesses, Strategic Product Management, Technology & Operations, and Risk & Quantitative Analysis. Mr. Kapito is also a Director of iShares Inc.

Prior to assuming his current responsibilities in 2007, Mr. Kapito served as Head of BlackRock’s Portfolio Management Group. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing all portfolio management within BlackRock, including the Fixed Income, Equity, Liquidity, and Alternative Investment Groups. Prior to founding BlackRock in 1988, Mr. Kapito was a Vice President in the Mortgage Products Group at The First Boston Corporation.

Mr. Kapito serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania and the Harvard Business School Board of Dean’s Advisors. He is also President of the Board of Directors for the Hope & Heroes Children’s Cancer Fund and Chair of UJA-Federation’s Wall Street & Financial Services Division. Mr. Kapito is the recipient of the 2009 Joseph Wharton Leadership Award, the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation’s 2010 Semper Fidelis Award, the 2012 Gustave L. Levy Award, and is a frequent public speaker on best practices in investment management.

Mr. Kapito earned a BS degree in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1979, and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School in 1983.
Robert Klaber, Portfolio Manager and Senior Research Analyst, Parnassus Investments
Parnassus Investments is a $16B investment firm in San Francisco.  In 2015, Mr. Klaber was selected to the Forbes “30 Under 30” in Finance as one of the top “rising stars” in the industry.  Before joining Parnassus, he worked at Neuberger Berman (formerly part of Lehman Brothers) and venture capital firm City Light Capital. 

Mr. Klaber graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from Brown University where he received the Joslin Award for outstanding leadership and service to the university.  He earned a master of philosophy degree from the University of Cambridge as a Craig Cambridge Scholar and received his MBA with honors from Harvard Business School. 

Mr. Klaber is the founding co-president of the Brown University Club of San Francisco. He serves on the Programming Committee of the Jewish Federation’s Business Leadership Council and on the First Place for Youth Finance Committee.
