Below please find a statement from Joy Sisisky, President and CEO of the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund of the Bay Area, in response to the release of additional hostages on January 25, 2025.
“The Federation rejoices with the people of Israel that four brave young women have been released from captivity in Gaza. The families and friends of Liri, Naama, Daniella and Karina have demanded their return for more than 15 months and we have supported them every step of the way.
We celebrate the return of the hostages today and last week, but our advocacy continues. We will not rest until every hostage is released from captivity and brought back to Israel.”
