Funding for 100+ core Jewish partner organizations in the Bay Area, Israel, and around the world.
The Jewish Federation Bay Area has just announced $13M in grants to over 100 core Jewish partner organizations in the Bay Area, Israel, and around the world as part of its 2026-27 grants cycle.
Grantees were selected based on a rigorous set of criteria and evaluated by members of the Federation’s Jewish Impact Committee, Israel Sub-Committee, and professional staff. These grantees demonstrate adaptive leadership, strong business models, and a proven record of success. These grants are made possible by gifts to the Federation’s Annual Campaign, designated fundraising, and endowment funds.
In the Bay Area, grants directly support creating vibrant spaces for Jewish life to flourish, standing strong against antisemitism and hate, ensuring our community’s safety and security, and caring for those in need.
The Federation’s Israel grants reflect a transition from emergency response to long-term investment in civil society. Priority areas include Haredi integration into civic life, and safety and resilience in Arab-Israeli communities; both of which are central to building a cohesive Israeli society moving forward.
Chief Strategy and Impact Officer Danielle Foreman said, “The Federation’s Annual Campaign, which directly funds these grants, has continued to grow in recent years. This is a testament to the trust our donors place in us to put their dollars to work where they matter most. Our role is to bring expertise, relationships, and strategic focus to every grant decision, maximizing impact across our local Jewish community and the global causes we care about deeply.”
Jewish Impact Committee Co-Chair Susan Saal and Federation Board Member and Jewish Impact Committee Co-Chair Karen Kaufman Perlman shared, “It is a genuine privilege to serve as co-chair and work with a dedicated group of members to direct these dollars toward causes that matter deeply to our community and that are truly delivering impact. These grantees are the cornerstone institutions of our Jewish community, and we are proud to support the vital work they do locally, in Israel, and for Jewish communities around the world.”
