Funding Available for East Bay Holocaust Events

Federation has a small fund available for East Bay commemorations of the Holocaust.

Submit an application, including a description of your event, how many people are expected, and an event budget.

Grant funds may be used to cover event costs including staffing, stipends or honorariums, marketing and outreach, subsidized or free event tickets, program materials, meals, and transportation. Grantees will be asked to recognize the Federation as a program sponsor with logo placement on all publicity materials.

Your organization must be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (or organization with fiscal sponsorship) with programming in Alameda, Contra Costa, Napa or Solano counties, and you must align with the Federation’s funding policy on Israel-related programming. (We are sorry, but at this time we have no funding for equivalent commemorations in other parts of the Bay Area.)

Applications are due November 10 for International Holocaust Remembrance Day events, or February 15 for Yom Ha Shoah. Applicants can expect to hear within 6-8 weeks on grant decisions. A brief report will be required after the event.
