Incentive Grants for Teen Immersive Experiences

Immersive Jewish experiences for teens have a lasting impact

There is something different about a program that doesn’t end after a few hours—waking up surrounded by your peers, sharing meals together, learning through a variety of shared experiences over the course of multiple days. Immersive experiences deepen identity, friendships, and connection to your Jewish community.

The Federation's Teen Initiative aims to make Jewish programming accessible to every teen in the Bay Area, and the intention of this grant opportunity aims to reduce the barrier of first-time participation.

One weekend away can make all the difference.

The Teen Immersive Incentive program provides need-blind grants of $180 to teens engaging in short-term Jewish experiences for the first time. Grant money goes directly to the teen and can be used to defray any trip expenses, such as registration costs, meals, supplies, etc.

Grants are available to first-time participants who:

  • Live in the Federation's service area.
  • Are in 10th or 11th grade, or the second semester of 9th grade.
  • Have not previously attended an overnight experience with the organization or program.
  • Register for a program that runs between two and seven consecutive nights.
